Tempted by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast

So...after you:

-banished an immortal being and a fallen priestess

-saved Stark's life

-biting Heath

-being seriously annoyed with Erik

-almost died

Zoey thought she could finally be given a break. But a break is not in the plans of the House of Night for Zoey, the high priestess in training and her friends. And now, a nameless evil is spreading through the tunnels of Tulsa ... and Zoey has a feeling that Stevie Rae and her group of red fledging misfits are responsible for a lot more than they are telling. Aphrodite's visions warn Zoey about Kalona and his evil, but even Zoey doesn't have the power to ward of an immortal being. Soon it's obvious. Zoey has to stop Kalona or else he will hurt the ones she love, will Zoey have the courage to risk her life, soul and love?

... That's all I have to say.

You know what, I'm not even gonna bother commenting on this book. It's gonna be the same as the other comments. I'm just happy they get back together, if not, the books were getting annoying. It's already the 11th book...I'm happy they announced the 2nd to last book "My Little Phony".

Pretties by Scott Westerfield

Tally has everything she has ever wanted. She's pretty now, her life is beyond awesome.

But behind all the fun -the non-stop parties, the high tech luxury, the freedom, the feeling of being bubbly - there's a nagging sense of something is wrong. Something important.

Then a message from her ugly past came. Reading it, she finally remembers what's wrong with her pretty life and her fun stops cold.

Now she has to decide, should she fight to forget what she knows or should she fight for her life - because the authorities don't intend on letting anyone know this information survive.
I loved this book! At first I was a bit confused...like why was she pretty and stuff? But then I got it.

Notes from the Midnight Driver by Jordan Sonneblick

"16-year-old Alex decides to get even. His parents are separated, his father is dating his former third-grade teacher, and being 16 isn't easy, especially when it comes to girls. Instead of revenge though, Alex ends up in trouble with the law and is ordered to do community service at a senior center where he is assigned to Solomon Lewis, a 'difficult' senior with a lot of gusto, advice for Alex, and a puzzling (yet colorful) Yiddish vocabulary. Eventually, the pair learn to deal with their past and each other in ways that are humorous, entertaining, and life changing."

Gosh, to think at first I wouldn't like this book, but of course, Jordan Sonneblick is an amazing writer with a great sense of humor! I found myself laughing as I read this book!

Alphas by Lisi Harrison

Thousands of girls applied. Only one hundred got in. Only one will win.

The multi-billionare Shira Brazille founded the super-exclusive Alpha Academy to nurture the next generation of exceptional dancers, writers, musicians and inventors. It's a dream come true for a lucky one hundred girls, but those not meeting the expectations will be sent home ... for any reason. The one left standing will win worldwide fame. Who will it be?

Skye Hamilton: known as an amazing dancer and being able to make superfast connection with boys (she's not the head of the DSL Daters for nothing), Skye plans to take Alphas by storm - and not to mention getting all five of Shira's super hot sons.

Allie A. Abbott: Getting over a break up with her boyfriend, she is only a little away from stardom. So when Allie J. Abbott's invitation to Alphas come to her doorstep, what else could she do then commit identity theft? But can she keep up with this act? Or will she get caught and sent home?

Charlie Deery: Charlie has always been a beta, but when she is offered a last-minute place in Alphas, who could say no? But the admission comes with a price: dumping her boyfriend - Darwin, Shira's son. It's hard to claw her way up, especially when ninety nine other girls are waiting to sink their claws into her ex.

I definetly like this a whole lot better than 'The Clique'. My favorite character was definetly Charlie because she was the most down-to-earth and sweet compared to the other bratty and mean girls. Also I know who I hate in this book. Allie and well, just Allie. You'd see why if you read this book. :)

Uglies by Scott Westerfield

Tally is excited to turn sixteen --- and no, not for her license but for finally being able to turn pretty. In Tally's world, turning sixteen brings an operation that turns you from a repellent ugly to a bubbly pretty and being able to party day and night in a stunning high tech paradise. And finally, in a few weeks, Tally will be there.

But Tally's new friend, Shay, isn't all that sure she wants to be pretty. Shay would rather be on the outside, and when Shay runs away, Tally learns about a whole new side about being pretty --- and it isn't that pretty. The authorities offer Tally a choice that will change her life. Either find her friend or never turn pretty. Ever. The choice Tally chooses just might change her life forever.

I actually tried reading this in 5th grade, but it didn't interest me. But now as I read it again, it was definitely an amazing science fiction. The idea is completely original and the story was suspenseful and thrilling. I highly recommend this book.

Daniel X : Watch the Skies by James Patterson

Daniel has thought he has seen it all in his alien hunting days.

But there's no business like show business and #5 on his list is the most appalling criminal yet.

An intergalactic reality t.v. show creator, he's executed millions --with a sound track and a laugh track to go with it.

Now, who would be better, than none other than the famed alien hunter as the star of his next film?

I don't really like where this series is going...I think it's a bit repetitive. 1) Daniel finds a new alien to hunt, 2) He battles it with lots of hard work, 3) He wins, 4) He discovers something cool/new about himself and his past. The end. But I guess the book was good.

Devil's Kiss by Sarwat Chadda

As the youngest and only female member of the Knight's Templar, Bilqis SanGreal (Billi) grew up knowing one thing. She wasn't normal. Instead of going to the mall or going on dates, Billi spends her time training to become a warrior to defend against the Unholy.

To save millions, Billi must put her heart aside and make sacrifices she has never imagined.

One of the most thrilling and suspenseful books I've ever read. Literally. I couldn't tell what was going to happen, until it happened! The ending was a definite twist and was incredibly bittersweet. She made the biggest sacrifice of all at the end. This book is a must read!

The A-List by Zoey Dean

"Seventeen-year-old Upper East Side blueblood Anna Percy is on her way to Beverly Hills, California, where she'll live with her estranged dad for the rest of the school year while her mother travels to Europe with a friend. On the plane, Anna drinks too much champagne and gets hit on by record producer Rick Resnick. Luckily Princeton student Ben Birnbaum is there to save her and he invites Anna to famous actor Jackson Sharpe's wedding, where Anna meets the cast of rich and famous characters who are soon to be her classmates at Beverly Hills High."

I loved this book, it reminded me a lot of the book "The One" by Ed Decter, but this was equally as good. This follows Anna, a goody two shoes with the want to escape and become "bad", it's very exciting and shows the "true" colours of L.A. without making it too cliched.

FANG by James Patterson

"Max and the Flock are flying high over Africa, but this time they're not alone. A sky full of cargo planes accompanies the team as they bring much-needed aid to the continent's poverty stricken regions. Among the volunteers is the mission's benefactor–the mysterious billionaire, Dr. Hans Gunther-Hagen. Max is intrigued by his generosity, but there's also something about him–and his intense scrutiny of the Flock–that makes her nervous.

But Dr. Hans isn't the only puzzling thing about their trip. The Flock also receives a cryptic message from a young girl, who tells them, 'The sky will fall.' Max and the Flock are ready to return home, still unable to make sense of her statement. But the surprises don't end with their departure, and something unbelievably momentous shakes up the Flock–pushing Max and Fang closer than ever. Will the team be able to stick together through the chaos?"

Uwaahhh Fang almost died in the end, and the end made me want to rip the book up! It was so ... crappy. Fang freaking left! And I also hate Dylan...a lot. I can't wait for the next Maximum Ride book!

Goddess of the Night by Lynne Ewing

Vanessa knows she's different, and she'll give anything to be normal -- but she can't stop herself from disappearing.

Catty, her best friend is different too, but Catty loves being different and traveling through time.

When the two girls meet two more girls -- Serena the mind reader and Jimena the oracle -- they realize they all wear the same moon amulet.

The four girls have to work hard to fit in with their normal peers, but that seems to be impossible with their powers. But when Catty goes missing, Vanessa must find her best friend...before she's gone forever.

Eeh, I didn't really like this book...I kinda thought it was a bit cheesy, like with the moon and all. And the writing seemed a bit ... childish compared to other books I've read.

Hunted by P.C. and Kristen Cast

What if the hottest guy in the world was hiding nameless evil, and all that he wanted was you?

Zoey's friends are back and Stevie Rae and the red fledgings are not Neferet's secret anymore. But another danger has come. Neferet and her new consort, Kalona...and no one at the House of Night seems to realize the danger he poses. Kalona is gorgeous and soon has the House of Night under his spell.

A past life shows the secret to break the spell, but what if Zoey doesn't want to face her past life and secrets?

Now, she and her friends, isolated in the red fledgings' tunnels, must think of a way to bring down this impending evil.

But that's not the only problem Zoey has.

The red fledgings' are helping out and making the tunnels seem more like home, but are they really as friendly as they seem?

Now Zoey finally has the chance to make up with her ex Eric, but why can she not stop thinking about Stark, the archer who died in her arms? Now determined to save him from Neferet's evil influence at all costs.

Will anyone believe the evilness that is coming?

Hehe, I did my book in a box on this (and I failed...I got a B-). Well, this book was pretty good, like the other ones, but yet, TOO MUCH BOYFRIEND PROBLEMS. That is really getting to me. To think, when it seems like no more guys will come into the series. But yet another guy comes into the love whatever-shape (I think it's beyond love pentagon).

The Shadow Club Rising by Neal Shusterman

The Shadow Club doesn't exist anymore.

The group that once anonymously played pranks on their rivals, until they spun out of control.

Now Jared and the other ex-Shadow Clubs members are having a hard time shaking away their reputation. And when the new golden boy falls victim to a series of nasty pranks, everyone points to Jared.

But with one catch. Jared didn't do it.

Now determined to prove his innocence, Jared soons falls into a nightmare worse than anything the Shadow Club has ever done.

A very nice sequel to the first book, this book had a different feel than the first book. The first book was more like a realistic fiction than the second. The second was more of a mystery. The ending was a lot different than I thought, I didn't suspect it at all!

The Shadow Club by Neal Shusterman

The point of the Shadow Club is simple.

There are kids that are tired of being "second-best". They get together and talk about their feelings for the first time. It seems harmless enough, just talking.

But soon, they decide to play pranks on the "first-bests" they envy.

But things slowly spin dangerously out of control.

Another great realistic fiction by Neal Shusterman. I liked the concept of the story, because it's so very true. There are always kids that are "second best", even if their best friends or sworn enemies, and this shows the side of the losers, not the winners of life. I really liked the characters, because they were so easy to relate to, on how they felt about the "first bests".

The Fourth Apprentice by Erin Hunter

The four clans have shared the area around the lake for many moons as equals. But a prophecy says that three Thunderclan cats will have the power of the stars in their paws, Jayfeather and Lionblaze, brothers, are two of them. They wait for a sign from Starclan to beckon them to the third cat.

Meanwhile, Ivykit and Dovekit - kin of Firestar- are counting the days left before they become Thunderclan apprentices. But when one of the sisters start getting omnious dreams, she realizes she possess skills beyond any other cat.

I don't know how on earth Erin Hunter comes up with all these ideas. I mean this is already the fourth series, but the things that happen, well, never fail to surprise me.

The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer

Matt Alacran was not born. He was harvested.

His DNA came from El Patron, the leader of the country of Opium - a strip of poppy fields in between the United States and what used to be Mexico. Matt's first cell split and divided in a petri dish. Later he was placed inside a womb of a cow, where miraculously, he was born.

He is a boy now. And a monster.

Everyone hates him - except El Patron, who loves Matt like himself. Matt is himself.

Now Matt is struggling to find his own identity and his part in the world, but he faces many sinister enemies that gets in the way of his search, including El Patron's power hungry family.

Escape is the only way Matt can get away from it all. But escape does not immediatly guaratee freedom, because Matt is marked in more ways than he could ever imagine.

This book was amazing and very suspenceful. The book took many unsuspecting turns and twists that kept me reading until the end and I couldn't stop. This book seemed very real since cloning is possible nowadays. It also brung up the issues of cloning.

North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley

It's hard not to notice Terra.

She's tall, blonde and beautiful. But with the turn of a head, all people notice is her "flawed" face.

Terra plans to leave her small town in the Northwest and escape to an East Coast college. But her overcontrolling father pushed her off course. But when an unexpected collision put the handsome Jacob in her path, the quirky and goth Jacob instantly makes her thoughts about her life and her future change and she is forced to another path. With her plans disrupted, will Terra be able to find the path she was meant to follow.

This book was amazing. I was instantly drawn to this book from just the title. It's nice to finally read a book about a girl who does not look "perfect" and has a incredilbly real life problem, a birthmark over a whole half of her face. After reading this book, I did a little study on port-wine stains, the kind of birthmark that Terra has in the book. I found out that nearly 20% of port-wine stains cannot be removed, like Terra's. This book helps you learn about something that most people didn't know existed.

Unspoken by Thomas Fahy

"In 5 years' time, your greatest fear will consume you. It will rob you of your last breath."

5 years ago, 6 children lived with their families in a religious cult. They escaped as the cult burned to the ground. On that night, Jacob, the leader of the cult gave them a chilling prophecy, in five years, all of the survivers will die by their worst fear. And that left Allison and her circle of friends wondering "What if it came true?"

5 years later, 1 of them drowned. And his worst fear was water. But his body was found in a tobacco field, 30 miles away from the nearest source of water. The news of his death leds the 5 others back to Meridian - the small town where Jacob first convinced people he was a prophet.

As each of them returns, they relive their horrible memories with Jacob and the cult and they must face the terrible truth about what happened that night.

But as they die, 1 by 1, they know his predictions are true, and they must find a way to stop it...before its too late.

Very chilling and scary book. One of the best horror books I've ever read. The concept was very original and I love books where people die one by one and they have to figure out how and why. This book was very religious, but it was still enjoyable.

Untamed by P.C. and Kristen Cast

Life sucks when your friends hates you.

Just ask Zoey, she knows how it feels. In only one week, she went from having 3 boyfriends to none. And from having the best of friends to being an outcast.

The worst part is that is it her own fault.

The only friends she have now are either undead, unMarked or won't stop bickering with each other. So who can blame her for becoming friends with the new transfer student, Stark, the hot Olympic archer?

Now, Neferet has declared war on the humans since the People of the Faith killed 2 adult vampyres. But Aphrodite's visions shows a world different from the perfect world Neferet promised, a world filled with violence and hatred.

And all because of Zoey's death.

Zoey knows fighting humans is wrong, but will anyone listen?

Yet again, exciting and unexpected turn of events!!! I can't wait to see what happens!

Chosen by P.C. and Kristen Cast

Zoey's adventures at the House of Night are about to take a mysterious turn.

Her friends are turning out to be her enemies. Her sworn-enemies are becoming her friends. Zoey will be tested more than she ever has been before.

Her best friend is now undead and trying to grip onto the thread of humanity she has left. Zoey doesn't know how to help her but they do know whose behind this secretive and sinister act of turning dead vampyres into the bloodthirsty undead. And it must be kept a secret at the House of Night where trustworthyness have become rare.

Oh, speaking of rare, here's something else that's rare: Zoey finds herself having two, no, three boyfriends.

But then suddenly, vampyres are turning out dead. Really dead. And the People of the Faith are not really seeing eye-to-eye with the vampyres and not to mention tired of living side-to-side with the vampyres.

But what Zoey and her friends finds out...things are not what they seem.

The series took an unsuspecting turn, didn't it? Especially when Stevie Rae died and become an undead! The only part I didn't like was how Zoey had 3 boyfriends. I mean two is already enough, isn't it?

Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson

Tyler Miller used to be the kind of guy who faded into the background at his high school - average looks, average student, average dysfunctional family, average everything.

But since he was arrested for vandalizing the school and spent the summer working at the school doing outdoor work.

Now he stands out more that you would believe. And he just might get the attention of queen bee, Bethany, not to mention his father's bosses's daughter and the sister of his greatest enemy...and not to mention his secret crush.

And now he life is a rollercoaster with amazing highs and devastating lows, and let the fun begin.

Laurie Halse Anderson has done it again. Written another amazing book about teens with problems. Tyler was pretty easy to relate to (me despite being a girl) and his feelings were easy to understand. And the ending took an unexpected turn.

She's So Money by Cherry Cheva

Here's a simple question: What do you get when you take...

1 over-achieving nerdy girl + 1 insanely cute guy + 1 massive debt + 1 plan that is totally unhonest but involves a lot of cash = ???

Maya has always been the good girl. She works long hours at her family's restauraunt and gets straight A's. And Camden was always the popular and hot guy she passed by everyday in the halls, whose ego was probably bigger than his brain. She never thought she would have a reason to interact with him at all.

But then again, she never knew she would screw up so bad that her family might lose their restaurant if she didn't come up with lots of money. Fast. So that's where Camden comes in - his plan to do kids' homework for cash.

Maya knows cheating is wrong, but that's better than being dead, right? Which is what she will be if her parents ever find out.

She never expected to mess up so bad. She never expected her life to spin so far out of control. Or did she expect to be a sucker to Camden's lopsided grin. Or to realize that spinning out of control was the best that ever happened to her.

The answer to the question: The best time of her life.

This book was amazing. I love the whole nerd girl falls and ends up with a total popular jock (despite being cliched). Maya was very lovable and she had a sense of humor and was witty, making the book hilarious. One of the best books I've read in a long time!

The Black Circle by Patrick Carman

A strange telegram leads Amy and Dan deep into Russia and away from the only trustworthy adult they know. Signed with the intials NRR, the telegram starts the race to uncover the treasure stolen by the Nazis and the truth behind the murder of the last royal family of Russia. But all too soon, the treasure hunts begins to seem like a Lucian trap, but the bait just might be irresistible...what will Amy and Dan risk to find out how their parents REALLY died?

The fifth book in the exciting 39 Clues series. This book was very interesting because it revealed something totally new about the Lucians! I also got to learn quite some new information on Russia, a place that I've never studied and I didn't know much about, so yeah.

Tentacles by Roland Smith

Since Marty and Grace's parents disappeared on an assignment from a nature magazine, Grace and Marty are left in their Uncle Wolfe's care. But Uncle Wolfe maybe be a bit odd and kooky, but he is an anthropologist, a scientist interested and dedicated to studying and hunting cryptids, creatures that are said to be long forgotten and extinct (or never proved to existed). Now Uncle Wolfe is planning a trip to New Zealand to find the famed giant squid and he even rented a giant freighter that just might be haunted. But someone on board is trying to sabotage and stop the missions, and if Marty and Grace keep snooping around, they just might be the saboteur's next victims!

I loved the sequel almost as much as the first one! This one was definetly a worthy sequel. Usually sequels suck but this one was amazing and the ending, wow, amazing cliff hanger! I really hope there is going to be a sequel!

Vacations from Hell by Various

A collection of stories by five amazing writers about vacations gone awry. Pack your bags for five stories worth dying for.

Well, that's pretty much all I can tell you. But I liked this book, though its not as good as the book "Prom Nights from Hell" another book in the "From Hell" series. I was very excited to find out there are two more in this "series"! "Dates from Hell" and "Love is Hell"! I can't wait to read them because in Dates, Kelley Armstrong writes one of them and she is one of my favorite authors!

Cryptid Hunters by Roland Smith

After an accident, twins Marty and Grace O'Hara are left in care of their odd and mysterious Uncle Wolfe that they didn't even know they had.

But Uncle Wolfe is not what he seems. He is an anthropologist, dedicating their life to study and hunt animals that have been known long to be extinct.

This time they are trying to find the cryptid Mokele-mbembe, an ancient Jurassic Park-like dinosaur.

And now the hunt and the race against time is on.

The story just really pulled me in and I swear, I couldn't put the book down until I finished. I mean usually I'm into the whole supernatural-romance thing, but this book. Wow, was amazing. This book definetly got me into the whole cryptid thing and I am more interested then I was before.

Beyond the Grave by Jude Watson

Betrayed by their cousins, abandoned by their uncle, and with only the vaguest and slimmest hint to guide them, Amy and Dan rush off to Egypt on the hunt for the next clue. But when they arrive, Amy and Dan get something completely unexpected - A message from their dead grandmother, Grace. Was Grace set out to help her two grandchildren? Or are Dan and Amy headed for the greatest betrayal of them all?

This is the fourth book of the 39 Clues series. This book was obviously equally exciting and suspenseful as the first four. And since I love Egyptian history and am quite knowlegable about Egyptian history, this book was especially enjoyable.

The One by Ed Decter

Chloe Gamble knows three things:

1) She's better than everyone in her hometown, the small town in Texas, where she grew up in.

2) There's only one person she trusts, and that's her twin brother, Travis.

3) She wants to be famous.

And what Chloe Gamble wants....Chloe Gamble gets.

Wow, this book was great for one of those "shallow" and "girly" book, this is not just about fashion and boys, this is about a girl working hard to rise from her small town girl status to a Hollywood starlet! It's about hardwork and lessons of Hollywood, not love and fashion like it might seem to be about! This is for anyone who is interested in making it big in La La Land.

Skinned by Robin Wasserman

Lia was perfect as can be. Smart. Beautiful. Popular. Until she died.

Now she has been redownloaded into a new body...a robot that only looks human. Lia will never feel pain again, she will never age and she will never, ever truly die. But she is rejected by her friends, betrayed by her boyfriend, hated and regretted by her familiy, and alienated from her old life.

Forced to the fringes of society, Lia joins others like her...the Skinners. But they are looked at as freaks...their hated...and feared. They are everything but human and are considered the ultimate crime...which the ultimate price has to be paid.

This was an amazing book and nothing at all like any book I have ever read! It was an amazing sci-fi and I highly recommend it. I have started the second book, Crashed, but I didn't excite me as this one has, it was boring, listening to life as a Skinner, instead of like this book, the journey of a girl who died and become a skinner, it was much more exciting.

Dark Mage by Rachel Roberts

The Dark Sorceress is trying to break and destroy the three mages for one last time....by turning Kara into the dark mage!

Well, this is the 11th book and the 2nd to last book in the "Avalon: Web of Magic" series! And the ending took me by surprise...a lot. I can't wait to read the 12th book, "Full Circle"!

Being Nikki by Meg Cabot

Em was sure there couldn't be anything worse than being a brainiac the body of a teenaged supermodel.

But it turned out she was wrong. Because that supermodel could turn out to have a mother who's gone mysteriously missing, a brother who's shown up on her doorstep demanding answers, a former best friend who's intent on destroying Stark Enterprises to avenge the death of his lost love, and a British heartthrob who's written a song about her that's topping the charts.
How can Em balance all that with school, runway shows, and weekend jaunts to St. Johns - especially when she's got ex-boyfriends crawling out of the woodwork who want more than just a photo op; a sister who is headed to the high school cheerleading championships; a company she represents that seems to be turning to the dark side...

Not to mention trying to convince the love of her life that models aren't really airheads after all...especially one model in particular.
But then, nobody said it was going to be easy being Nikki."

Wow! Meg Cabot did an amazing job, yet again! When I read the first one, I definetly knew I had to read the second one as well, now all I want to read is the third one! The plot is good and unlike most books that Meg Cabot writes, it is science fiction and about body swapping, but yet, you can still tell it's Meg Cabot from the great romance scenes!

Downriver by Will Hobbs

Downriver by Will Hobbs, Book - Barnes & Noble: "No adults, no permit, no river map. Just some 'borrowed' gear from Discovery Unlimited, the outdoor education program Jessie and her new companions have just ditched. Jessie and the others are having the time of their lives floating beneath sheer red walls, exploring unknown caves and dangerous waterfalls, and plunging through the Grand Canyon's roaring rapids. No one, including Troy, who emerges as the group's magnetic and ultimately frightening leader, can forsee the challenges and conflicts.

What will be the consequences of their reckless adventure?"

Well, I actually had to read this for Mr. Wobbema's class (Language Arts), but I ended up liking it, unlike most people of my grade, who ended up hating it. This book actually made me excited to go to L.A. to read it, and the first action-adventure I have read in a long time. The only two people I didn't like much in the book was Jessie and Troy.....My favorite was Adam and Star though.

Skeleton Creek by Patrick Carman

Strange things have been happening in Skeleton Creek...and Ryan and Sarah are trying to figure it out. But an eerie accident leaves Ryan housebound and forbidden to see Sarah and that leaves Sarah to the investigation. The investigation involves two things. Sarah's videos at Skeleton Creek and Ryan's Journal.

Oh my, I watched the videos that came with the books and dang, those were a bit creepy, even to my standards. But this book was really good and a bit scary because it actually seemed that it was possible for it to happen in a small town. I now really want to read thte next book!

The Dangerous Days of Daniel X by James Patterson

The Dangerous Days of Daniel X (Daniel X Series #1), Daniel X Series, James Patterson, Book - Barnes & Noble: "The greatest superpower of all isn't to be part spider, part man, or to cast magic spells -- the greatest power is the power to create.

Daniel has that power.

Daniel's secret abilities -- like being able to manipulate objects and animals with his mind or to recreate himself in any shape he chooses -- have helped him survive. But Daniel doesn't have a normal life. He is the protector of the earth, the Alien Hunter, with a mission beyond what anyone could imagine.

From the day that his parents were brutally murdered in front of his very eyes, Daniel has used his unique gifts to hunt down their assassin. Finally, with the help of The List bequeathed to him in his parents' dying breath, he has located the killer.

Now, on his own, he vows to take on his father's mission--and to have vengeance in the process."

I don't know why but even though I a lot of people don't like this book, not just for the "Mary Sue" way Daniel is or the way its written, but I actually like this book, I thought it was pretty good with a twist at the end! Yet again, James Patterson was able to write an amazing book!

Heart of Avalon by Rachel Roberts

The sea dragons are afflicted by a weird mystery disease, searching for the disease, Emily and Ozzy discover that its evil elemental magic causing this so-called "disease". To help the dragons, Emily must befriend mermaids (and men) and pirates to recover the two missing power crystals.

This the 10th book in the "Avalon: Web of Magic" series. I enjoyed this book, because so far, the other two girls, Kara and Adrainne are already "paired up" with someone from the magical world, though not Emily until this book. In the book she finally meets someone she just might like. Even though I know this series is a bit childish and cheesy, I find it oddly amusing and good. I recommend this series to anyone who likes a happy magical story.

Gamer Girl, Mari Mancusi

Gamer Girl, Mari Mancusi, Book - Barnes & Noble: "After Maddy's parents divorce, she's stuck starting over at a new high school. Friendless and nicknamed Freak Girl, Manga-loving artist Maddy finds refuge in the interactive online game Fields of Fantasy. In that virtual world, she reinvents herself as Allora, a gorgeous elfin alter ego, and meets a true friend in Sir Leo. Maddy can't hide behind Allora forever, especially as a real-life crush begins edging in on her budding virtual romance. But would anyone pick the real Maddy, gamer girl and Manga freak, over the fantasy?

This fresh, geeky/cool novel includes online chats and exciting gaming, and features Maddy's Manga-style artwork."

I absolutely loved this book. Not just because it had so many references to things I like, like manga and MMORGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games), especially I play those games! I know what its like to like those things, especially when not many people know what their about and how not many people appreciate them as I do. I highly recommend this book.

Antsy Does Time, Neal Shusterman

Antsy Does Time, Neal Shusterman, Book - Barnes & Noble: "It was a dumb idea, but one of those dumb ideas that accidentally turns out to be brilliant–which, I’ve come to realize, is much worse than being dumb. My name’s Antsy Bonano–but you probably already know that–and unless you got, like, memory issues, you’ll remember the kid named the Schwa, who I told you about last time. Well, now there’s this other kid, and his story is a whole lot stranger. It all started when Gunnar Ãœmlaut and I were watching three airborne bozos struggle with a runaway parade balloon. That’s when Gunnar tells me he’s only got six months to live. Maybe it was because he said he was living on borrowed time, or maybe it was just because I wanted to do something meaningful for him, but I gave him a month of my life . . .

. . . And that’s when things began to get seriously weird."

Oh my, the sequel was better than the original book! That is really rare for series! And yet again, this takes the place of my favorite Neal Shusterman book (though the Schwa was Here and Unwind come in a close second and third). THis book was really sweet and meaningful and left me feeling good when I finished it! I highly recommend this series! I really hope Neal Shusterman makes a third book in this series!

Found by Margaret Peterson Haddix

Jonah and Chip always knew they were adopted, they never thought it was that big of a deal...until the letters came. The first one says "You are one of the Missing" and the second one says "Beware, they are coming to get you!" Now Jonah, Chip and Jonah's younger sister Katherine are plungged into a mystery that involves the FBI, a smuggling opperation, an airplane that appeared out of no where 13 years ago and people who disappear and appear at will? The kids finds themself caught in between to sides with very different wants for the lives of them, but will Chip or Jonah have any choice in the matter? And what should they choose if both choices are both equally terrifying?

This was a pretty good book, though it's not my usual kind of book that involves a girl, a boy, and a love story. This is like the complete opposite! It involves an adventure and a mystery that left me thinking and wondering what's gonna happen next at the end of the chapter. This book made me really excited to see what's next and had great suspense too!

The Schwa Was Here, Neal Shusterman

The Schwa Was Here, Neal Shusterman, Book - Barnes & Noble: "They say his clothes blend into the background, no matter where he stands. They say a lot of things about the Schwa, but one thing’s for sure: no one ever noticed him. Except me. My name is Antsy Bonano—and I was the one who realized the Schwa was 'functionally invisible' and used him to make some big bucks. But I was also the one who caused him more grief than a friend should. So if you all just shut up and listen, I’ll tell you everything there is to know about the Schwa, from how he got his name, to what really happened with his mom. I’ll spill everything. Unless, of course, 'the Schwa Effect' wipes him out of my brain before I’m done . . ."

I absolutely loved this book! I mean a lot of people say this is not their "favorite" Neal Shusterman books but its definetly one of mine! I'm so glad that they might make a film out of this book, I can't wait to see it in theaters! I dont' know, but the characters in this book was just so...likable and easy to relate to and not only that, this book was hilarious too!

Zen and the Art of Faking It by Jordan Sonneblick

When San Lee, the eight grader, moves to a new school and city for the umpteenth time, he doesn't try to be cool and fit in, but instead he sits back and makes a new plan...to stand out. When he accidently answered way to many questions in World History (thank that to his old school), all heads turn to him and San obviously has the answer, he is a zen master. When he thinks that everyone is on him, including Woody the super cute girl that he can't stop thinking about, everyone believes him.

I loved this book and it was hilarious. I love all the Jordan Sonneblick books, all of them are hilarious and have a good plot and message in them. Also, all the books teach me something new :)

The Afterlife by Gary Soto

After his murder, Chuy finally discovers the meaning of life...especially his.

Well, that's pretty much all I can tell you because if I told you anymore, I would spoil it and I wouldn't want that. I don't think much authors kill their main character after the 2nd page, but Gary Soto did. This is the story of someone who died...in their point of view. But honestly, this book wasn't all that good, I mean it was okay, but it was a bit boring for me, and too much Spanish for my liking...

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

For Nora Grey, romance has never been part of her agenda. But that was before she met Patch.

With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see into her soul, she falls for him without better judgement.

But after several terrifying encounters, she doesn't know who to trust anymore. Patch seems to know everything about her and is every she is. She can't decide whether to run into his arms or run and hide. When she tries to seek the truth, she discovers something that is more startling than the way Patch makes her feel.

Now Nora is in the middle of the ancient battle between the angels...and those who have fallen---and when it comes to choosing sides...the wrong choice could cost her her life.

This was the most amazing book I've ever read...and it made me think too. Thought the beginning was a bit awkward. I love all the characters in this book, though a lot of people who have read this book say its like Twilight, the concept of a girl in between two creatures that happen to be guys that like her, but its definetly not, fallen angels have nothing to do with vampire or werewolves and Nora is nothing like Bella at all. Nora actually has a personality!

Flash Burnout by L.K. Madigan

Fifteen year old Blake has a girlfriend and a girl friend.

One wants him and one needs him.

When Blake snapped a picture of a homeless person on the street, he never thought that it would be Marrissa's long lost meth-addict mother! But now, he is in a relationship with Shannon, he constantly finds himself trying to figure out the difference of boyfriend and just a friend. Shannon seems to be constantly mad at him...but perfect at the same time. His relationship with Marrisa is so much easier. Friends in their photography class (a.k.a. "pretty and gritty"). But once Marissa sees that picture, she constantly is missing looking for her missing mother, and now Blake finds himself lying to Shannon to check up on Marissa, but despite loving Shannon, he finds himself more interested in Marissa's uncontrollable life that seems to strengthen his friendship with her.

This is the story of Blake. And his journey to find the true, blur-free snapshot of his life.

Oh gosh, this was an amazing book. I didn't think it would have been as good as it sounded, but it was amazing, trust me. But the ending...hmm..let's just say, I didn't like it as much, but it was a good conclusiona and it answered his question of "Who am I really?" I definetly recommend this book!

Claire by Lisi Harrison

Back in Orlando for the first time in what it feels like for a long time, Claire is finally reunited with her Orlando BFFs, Sari, Sarah and Mandy! Her FBFs hasn't changed at all, but they think Claire has...and not for the better! Claire now has to prove her loyalty to them by entering the Kissimmee's Miss Kiss pageant. But when a special visitor comes, Claire finds herself torn from Keds and couture. Will Claire say goodbye to her past one last time?

It's interesting to see what Claire's "past" was like and her old best friends too. But its also interesting to see how much a Clique could change Claire at the same time. [Spoiler] but why did Massie have to come?!

Kristen by Lisi Harrison

While the rest of the Pretty Committee all around the globe, Kristen is left in Westchester, trying to maintain her scholarship at OCD. No horse camp. No Spanish vacation. No Hawaiian spa. Not even a trip to Orlando! But when Kristen gets a job of taking care of her crush's ten year old sister...things are not looking bad now in OCD.

Yep...I've blogged for so many Clique books in a row that I don't know what to say anymore. But at least, this book lets Kristen tell her story for once, instead of Claire or Massie.

Alicia by Lisi Harrison

Alicia is off to Spain to visit her relatives and that's not the only good news! Alicia finds out that the hot teen sensation, !Ignacio! is looking for a true Spanish beauty to star in his new video! She can't believe it! If she gets picked as a true Spanish beauty, Massie will never call her a "Fannish" or "Fake Spanish" anymore...but the only problem is that she has to beat her cousins, the real Spanish beauties.

Huh, this one had a surprise twist too. I didn't think it would've ended like that...and Nina returns!!

Dylan by Lisi Harrison

Dylan and her mom are off to Hawaii for the Aloha Tennis Open. While Merri-Lee is interviewing "Tennis the Menance" Svetlana Slootskyia, Dylan lets the summer sun and warm breeze help her forget the memory of being dumped by two guys. She thought she didn't need any guys anymore...until she sees him. The preppy and tennis-obsessed J.T. , but soon Dylan realizes the only way to make him like her is to master the game. Can she make Svetlana spill the secrets about tennis or will she end up like last year...dumped?

This one was interesting....and the ending...not what I thought at all.. Honestly, I dont' really like Dylan because she seems weight-loss obsessive and kind of stuck up (well the others are too), but the part that bugs me is the weight-loss obsession.

Full Tilt by Neal Shusterman

Sixteen year old Blake has always been the responsible one in his dysfunctional family. Quinn is his brother's exact opposite. The thrill seeker, who's always trying to find the next scary rush, no matter how much it costs. But what happens when Quinn is thrown into the world of a phantom carnival where the price of your soul is the price of the admission?

Now, Blake must go to the carnival to save his brother, all he has to do is ride seven rides...and all before dawn. Sure, seven rides...sounds easy enough. But each ride is of each of his seven deadliest fears...and now Blake has no where to run...especially from the secret he has been running from for years.

Oh My Gosh, I absolutely loved this book! One of Neal Shusterman's best! It had all the things I love in a book! Romance, good plot, risks, horror, suspense, adventure...etc. I don't think I've read a book this good in a long time!

Massie by Lisi Harrison

After Massie got kicked out of the ultra excusive Westchester horse camp, her parents force her to do something she never imagined she had to do in a million, no gazillion years...get a summer job! Not really the type of person to dog-walk or brat-sit, she goes for the obvious solution, become a sales rep for the cosmetic brand Be Pretty. Now she gets to transform former LBRs into beauty queens...but it will take more than one swipe of her purple mascara wand.

Sigh, I know I said I wouldn't upload more Clique summaries for a while, but I guess not. I like the "Summer Collection" a lot better than the regular books because they are more like regular girls when their not with their friends and by themselves. I thought this book was pretty good!

13. by Various arr. James Howe

13. Is a collection of short stories about all the thrills (and disappointments) of being thirteen. Instead of being a "survival guide" for a thirteen year old, it's more of a collection of thoughts, stories and poems about what its like to be thirteen, how its like figuring yourself out and discovering a different you.

This collection of short stories were surprisingly good and described the concept of being thirteen pretty well! A lot of amazing writers contributed to this book and made the book altogether amazing! I don't think I would have ever read this book unless I saw it being displayed on the school's media center shelf, I don't know what happened, but when I saw it, I knew I had to read it!
