Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Grace has always had a strange relationship with wolves, ever since she has been attacked by a pack of wolves when she was a child. They scare, but fascinate her at the same time, but there is one that particularly draws her interest; the yellow eye wolf.

Sam is the boy with a dark secret. In the summer, he is just like any other boy with a mess of black hair and a love of reading. But in the winter, he turns into a black wolf with golden eyes that lives in the forest near Grace's Minnesotan house. He is constantly struggling with his sense to stay with his pack and his fight for being human.

After an incident when Sam almost dies, he drags himself to Grace's house, begging for help. She helps him and they soon fall in love, finding the real love they both desired.

But time is going to be cut short. Each year Sam's time as human becomes shorter and shorter. Sam is afraid of losing his sense of humanity and himself. This year is Sam's last year as a human, and unless Grace can find some way to stop his change, she will lose him...forever.

I loved this book beyond compare. This is one of the best supernatural romances I've ever read, and trust me, I've read a ton of supernatural romances. I really liked the cast of characters. Grace was easy to connect to and Sam was really sweet. All the characters in general seemed real (well, as real as werewolves can be) and easy to relate too. I also like how this book takes place in Minnesota, it adds a homey feel to it. It's not often that a very popular book is placed in Minnesota.

Devil's Kiss by Sarwat Chadda

As the youngest and only female member of the Knight's Templar, Bilqis SanGreal (Billi) grew up knowing one thing. She wasn't normal. Instead of going to the mall or going on dates, Billi spends her time training to become a warrior to defend against the Unholy.

To save millions, Billi must put her heart aside and make sacrifices she has never imagined.

One of the most thrilling and suspenseful books I've ever read. Literally. I couldn't tell what was going to happen, until it happened! The ending was a definite twist and was incredibly bittersweet. She made the biggest sacrifice of all at the end. This book is a must read!

Goddess of the Night by Lynne Ewing

Vanessa knows she's different, and she'll give anything to be normal -- but she can't stop herself from disappearing.

Catty, her best friend is different too, but Catty loves being different and traveling through time.

When the two girls meet two more girls -- Serena the mind reader and Jimena the oracle -- they realize they all wear the same moon amulet.

The four girls have to work hard to fit in with their normal peers, but that seems to be impossible with their powers. But when Catty goes missing, Vanessa must find her best friend...before she's gone forever.

Eeh, I didn't really like this book...I kinda thought it was a bit cheesy, like with the moon and all. And the writing seemed a bit ... childish compared to other books I've read.

Hunted by P.C. and Kristen Cast

What if the hottest guy in the world was hiding nameless evil, and all that he wanted was you?

Zoey's friends are back and Stevie Rae and the red fledgings are not Neferet's secret anymore. But another danger has come. Neferet and her new consort, Kalona...and no one at the House of Night seems to realize the danger he poses. Kalona is gorgeous and soon has the House of Night under his spell.

A past life shows the secret to break the spell, but what if Zoey doesn't want to face her past life and secrets?

Now, she and her friends, isolated in the red fledgings' tunnels, must think of a way to bring down this impending evil.

But that's not the only problem Zoey has.

The red fledgings' are helping out and making the tunnels seem more like home, but are they really as friendly as they seem?

Now Zoey finally has the chance to make up with her ex Eric, but why can she not stop thinking about Stark, the archer who died in her arms? Now determined to save him from Neferet's evil influence at all costs.

Will anyone believe the evilness that is coming?

Hehe, I did my book in a box on this (and I failed...I got a B-). Well, this book was pretty good, like the other ones, but yet, TOO MUCH BOYFRIEND PROBLEMS. That is really getting to me. To think, when it seems like no more guys will come into the series. But yet another guy comes into the love whatever-shape (I think it's beyond love pentagon).

The Fourth Apprentice by Erin Hunter

The four clans have shared the area around the lake for many moons as equals. But a prophecy says that three Thunderclan cats will have the power of the stars in their paws, Jayfeather and Lionblaze, brothers, are two of them. They wait for a sign from Starclan to beckon them to the third cat.

Meanwhile, Ivykit and Dovekit - kin of Firestar- are counting the days left before they become Thunderclan apprentices. But when one of the sisters start getting omnious dreams, she realizes she possess skills beyond any other cat.

I don't know how on earth Erin Hunter comes up with all these ideas. I mean this is already the fourth series, but the things that happen, well, never fail to surprise me.

Untamed by P.C. and Kristen Cast

Life sucks when your friends hates you.

Just ask Zoey, she knows how it feels. In only one week, she went from having 3 boyfriends to none. And from having the best of friends to being an outcast.

The worst part is that is it her own fault.

The only friends she have now are either undead, unMarked or won't stop bickering with each other. So who can blame her for becoming friends with the new transfer student, Stark, the hot Olympic archer?

Now, Neferet has declared war on the humans since the People of the Faith killed 2 adult vampyres. But Aphrodite's visions shows a world different from the perfect world Neferet promised, a world filled with violence and hatred.

And all because of Zoey's death.

Zoey knows fighting humans is wrong, but will anyone listen?

Yet again, exciting and unexpected turn of events!!! I can't wait to see what happens!

Chosen by P.C. and Kristen Cast

Zoey's adventures at the House of Night are about to take a mysterious turn.

Her friends are turning out to be her enemies. Her sworn-enemies are becoming her friends. Zoey will be tested more than she ever has been before.

Her best friend is now undead and trying to grip onto the thread of humanity she has left. Zoey doesn't know how to help her but they do know whose behind this secretive and sinister act of turning dead vampyres into the bloodthirsty undead. And it must be kept a secret at the House of Night where trustworthyness have become rare.

Oh, speaking of rare, here's something else that's rare: Zoey finds herself having two, no, three boyfriends.

But then suddenly, vampyres are turning out dead. Really dead. And the People of the Faith are not really seeing eye-to-eye with the vampyres and not to mention tired of living side-to-side with the vampyres.

But what Zoey and her friends finds out...things are not what they seem.

The series took an unsuspecting turn, didn't it? Especially when Stevie Rae died and become an undead! The only part I didn't like was how Zoey had 3 boyfriends. I mean two is already enough, isn't it?

Vacations from Hell by Various

A collection of stories by five amazing writers about vacations gone awry. Pack your bags for five stories worth dying for.

Well, that's pretty much all I can tell you. But I liked this book, though its not as good as the book "Prom Nights from Hell" another book in the "From Hell" series. I was very excited to find out there are two more in this "series"! "Dates from Hell" and "Love is Hell"! I can't wait to read them because in Dates, Kelley Armstrong writes one of them and she is one of my favorite authors!

Dark Mage by Rachel Roberts

The Dark Sorceress is trying to break and destroy the three mages for one last time....by turning Kara into the dark mage!

Well, this is the 11th book and the 2nd to last book in the "Avalon: Web of Magic" series! And the ending took me by surprise...a lot. I can't wait to read the 12th book, "Full Circle"!

Heart of Avalon by Rachel Roberts

The sea dragons are afflicted by a weird mystery disease, searching for the disease, Emily and Ozzy discover that its evil elemental magic causing this so-called "disease". To help the dragons, Emily must befriend mermaids (and men) and pirates to recover the two missing power crystals.

This the 10th book in the "Avalon: Web of Magic" series. I enjoyed this book, because so far, the other two girls, Kara and Adrainne are already "paired up" with someone from the magical world, though not Emily until this book. In the book she finally meets someone she just might like. Even though I know this series is a bit childish and cheesy, I find it oddly amusing and good. I recommend this series to anyone who likes a happy magical story.

The Afterlife by Gary Soto

After his murder, Chuy finally discovers the meaning of life...especially his.

Well, that's pretty much all I can tell you because if I told you anymore, I would spoil it and I wouldn't want that. I don't think much authors kill their main character after the 2nd page, but Gary Soto did. This is the story of someone who died...in their point of view. But honestly, this book wasn't all that good, I mean it was okay, but it was a bit boring for me, and too much Spanish for my liking...

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

For Nora Grey, romance has never been part of her agenda. But that was before she met Patch.

With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see into her soul, she falls for him without better judgement.

But after several terrifying encounters, she doesn't know who to trust anymore. Patch seems to know everything about her and is every she is. She can't decide whether to run into his arms or run and hide. When she tries to seek the truth, she discovers something that is more startling than the way Patch makes her feel.

Now Nora is in the middle of the ancient battle between the angels...and those who have fallen---and when it comes to choosing sides...the wrong choice could cost her her life.

This was the most amazing book I've ever read...and it made me think too. Thought the beginning was a bit awkward. I love all the characters in this book, though a lot of people who have read this book say its like Twilight, the concept of a girl in between two creatures that happen to be guys that like her, but its definetly not, fallen angels have nothing to do with vampire or werewolves and Nora is nothing like Bella at all. Nora actually has a personality!

Dreadlocks by Neal Shusterman

Dreadlocks by Neal Shusterman

Fifteen year old Park Baer is bored of his perfect life. But his life will be forever changed when he finds the gorgeous Tara sleeping in his bed. Exotic-looking with long glimmering spirals of golden hair that seems alive and her eyes behind her sunglasses all the time (along wtih living with a hosue of statues). Parker keeps an eye on her, fascinated. Tara seems to pick students at the high school up and wraps them around her finger. But her "friends" start developing weird symptoms, like eating dirt and drinking gallons, literally gallons of milk! Only Parker knows what Tara is up to, and soon he seems to facing those cravings himself...can he stop her destructive game or will he be doomed under her spell forever.

I was slightly disappointed with this book, I mean it WAS good, but I didn't like it as much as Neal Shusterman's other books. I was also disappointed with the ending too. Though I DID like how they described Tara, and how interesting and strange her characteristics would be like in the future if ________ existed. (XD I'm not telling you WHAT she is).

The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong

The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong

If you met Chloe a few weeks ago, you would probably thinks he was just a regular girl---someone normal. But her life has changed forever and is never going to be the same.

She's a living science expieriment. Not only can she see ghosts, she can also talk and bring them back to life. She was genetically altered by an organization called the Edison Group.

Now running for her life with three other supernaturalists, a charming sorcerer, a cynical werewolf and a disgruntled witch, she has to fund someone who can help...unless the Edison Group finds them first.

Ha, this is one of the first summaries in a long time I wrote in a long time! I'm proud of myself. This book was sooo good and I simply loved it! I loved reading about supernaturalists and stuff like that. All the characters are likeable (except for Edison Group of course!) and act like they are real! PS: This is the 2nd book in the series. The first one is "The Summoning"

Betrayed by P.C. and Kristen Cast

Zoey has managed to settle in at the House of Night and come to terms with the vast powers the Goddess Nyx has given her. Just as she finally feels she belongs, the unthinkable happens: human teenagers are being killed, and all evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey’s old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves.

Luv this book, though parts were quite...disturbing. But still all out good. This is one of my only favorite vamp. series. I don't really like vamps. in general, so yeah.

Marked by P.C. and Kristen Cast

Marked by P.C. and Kristen Cast

{From Official House of Night Site}

"After she is Marked, 16-year-old Zoey Redbird enters the House of Night and learns that she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess Nyx. But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers. When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school's most elite club, is mis-using her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny— with a little help from her new vampyre friends."

I loved this book, very good. Probably my only favorite vamp book besides Millenium Snow. Though, there were some disturbing parts in it.......

The Battle Of The Labyrinth by Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Battle Of The Labyrinth by Rick Riordan

After being attacked by monster cheerleaders at his new school where his soon-to-be stepdad is the principal, he soon returned to Camp Half Blood where he learns about "The Labyrinth". I LOVE the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, its really good! This is the fourth book in the series. I highly reccomend this book to anyone who is interested in Greek Mythology or just like a good adventure about a boy of fourteen. :)

Well, I didn't write a review, because I couldn't really think of any other way to describe this book, this book was just so SHOCKING and DEPRESSING at the end! I almost couldn't believe what happened! This is the last book in the warriors series:the power of three, there are 3 other series (Warriors:Original, Warriors: The New Prophecy, Warriors: The Power Of Three, and Warriors: Omen Of The Stars, and there are Field Guides, Special Editions, and a Manga) this book was probably the most unsuspected events happened in, I really liked this book and can't wait for the book The Fourth Apprentice, the new book to come out!!!!

Zombie Queen Of Newbury High

Zombie Queen Of Newbury High by Amanda Ashby

Quiet, unpopular, non-cheerleader Mia is extraordinarily happy. Rob-super-star football player, and not to metion very cute, has asked her to the prom! Life of course couldn't get any better, obviously. But then enter Samantha, cheerleading queen, and Miz Popularity, who wants to make it clear that Rob was meant for her, and should go to the prom with her. Mia is desperate and doesn't want to be the laughing stock of the school, and surely doesn't want to ve dumped in front of the whole school during prom. So with the prom in a few days, she turns to her best friend Candice, holistic and hypochondriac, and decides to make a love spell to make Rob stay in love with her. Unfortunately, she ends up inflicting a zombie virus across the school instead! And now apparently she is the zombie leader! At first, she loves all the attention, but when she learns zombie hunter hottie Chase that her class will actually, in a few days try to eat her, and no she is not thrilled. She's sure she and Chase can figure something out, but in the meantime, she's suggesting no one wears white to the prom, cause that could get quite messy.

i liked this book because, it was over the span of only a few days instead of like 4 months, and also that this book was about zombies, i kind of needed a break from all those vampire books, also the end had a twist, so i liked that too. I have to admit the plot was a little obvious, but it kept me going.

Avalon High

Avalon High by Meg Cabot

Who is Will Wagner, and how does Ellie, the new girl at Avalon High, feels that she's known him all her life, instead of just meeting him?

Ellie is no one special, the girl who floats on a raft in her backyard pool, the one who runs track with her track friends, the one with parents who are medieval professors, the new girl at Avalon High who moved from St. Paul, Minnesota.
Avalon High may seem like any regular high school with Lance, the jock, Jennifer, the cheerleader, and Will, the quarterback, the senior class president, the all-round good guy.
But not everyone at Avalon High are who they appear to be, not even Ellie herself. What part does she play in the unfolding drama? What if the strange chain of events and coincidences she has pieced together means-as with the court of King Arthur-tragedy is fast approaching Avalon High? And what if Ellie can do nothing to stop it?

I thought this book wasn't the best Meg Cabot book i read so far, but it was interesting learning a bit about Arthurian(?) legend, (as in King Arthur, Lancelot, Guenevere, The Lady Of The Lake, Merlin, etc) and how the author transferred the Arthurian(?) legend, to modern life events, to make it more realistic, and believable.
