Wow! Meg Cabot did an amazing job, yet again! When I read the first one, I definetly knew I had to read the second one as well, now all I want to read is the third one! The plot is good and unlike most books that Meg Cabot writes, it is science fiction and about body swapping, but yet, you can still tell it's Meg Cabot from the great romance scenes!

I thought this book wasn't the best Meg Cabot book i read so far, but it was interesting learning a bit about Arthurian(?) legend, (as in King Arthur, Lancelot, Guenevere, The Lady Of The Lake, Merlin, etc) and how the author transferred the Arthurian(?) legend, to modern life events, to make it more realistic, and believable.

Who wants to be popular?
Everyone does. Well atleast Steph Laundry does. But after a certain, Super Big Cherry Big Gulp (a type of cherry soda apparently) catastrophe in the 6th grade, after 5 years of embarrassment and shunning, her chances of being popular is close to zero, zip, none. Not only that, her only friends are a scrapbooking country girl, Becca (not that scrapbooking is bad), and her best friend Jason, who had a passion for astromony, who had turned hot before her eyes, but still. But with her secret weapon, an old book called "How To Be Popular" she is determined to make all her classmates realize that she is not the idiot who they joke about(apparently they have a joke that goes like this "oh don't pull a Steph Laundry" or "Stop being such a Steph") and is a girl who is meant to be the queen of the school.

I honestly thought that this book was pretty boring, and not that intresting, I mean the plot is okay, but it doesn't pull you foward, but it was intresting. I liked how they had "pages" from the book, and a little "side story" to it about her grandpa and his new bride Kitty. Hmm, for some reason I've been reading alot of Meg Cabot books recently...I dunno. Maybe I should read some other book now...

I honestly thought this book was a little creepy, not gory or bloody or horror creepy, but the brain transfer thing, kinda eerie....This book was intresting how it showed that modeling is not what it looks like and it's not all fun and games, along with being a celeb. It's also intresting how it's in a tomboy's view as a model, not a girly girl. hehehehe I tried doing the kind of review that is a "to find out read this book" review, i haven't did this kind of review in a long time :D

I admit this was pretty mature compared to the first book All American Girl, and I honestly liked the first book better....this one was actually really boring compared to the other book, and other Meg Cabot books, such as All American Girl, Princess Diaries, Teen Idol, etc. Even though I already mentioned this, but this is a MATURE book, not meant for people who can't handle mature stuff, but not as bad as Breaking Dawn...you know the Bella part....at Esme Island....(?is it called Esme Island? I don't remeber....)

Sam Madison is the gothy artist at her school. Popular? eeh not so much. Dating? In her dreams.

Why Sam thinks her life sucks:

4. She has a crush on her sister's boyfriend, Jack

5. Her older sister, Lucy is the queen of the school

8. the whole world thinks she's a hero (even though she doesn't think so)

9.She has been appointed teen ambassador to the UN

And 10. the president's son, David might just be in love with her


I liked this book alot, i finished it in 2 days :D! Its intresting how this story is told, because after every few chapters there is a list that Sam has made like:
Why I Can't Stand My Sister Lucy
Why I Want To Be Gwen Stefani
What Not To Do At A Press Conference
etc.
and instead of a perfect girly girl, the main character is different, not in the "in" crowd, gothic, artist, and into ska music girl.

Teen Idol

Teen Idol by Meg Cabot

Ordinary nice to everyone Jenny Greenley is good at keeping secrets, she's the school's secret advice colummist. She's so good at keeping secrets, that when Luke Striker, the hottest Hollywood star come to her small town to research a role of his upcoming movie, and Jenny, is in charge of keeping his identity secret (his "undercover" name is Lucas Smith). But of course, when Luke arrives he doesn't make Jenny's job easy and soon everyone, the school, the town, the paparazzi, etc knows that "Lucas Smith" is actually Luke Striker, and Jenny is caught in the middle of all of the chaos.

I loved this book, i finished it in 2 days :). this is approx. 293 pages long. I liked this book because its easy to relate to (besides the Luke Striker part) and its entertaining. I like romance books that are not too gushy, and this is a good one, Meg Cabot is a great writer, her books are very good and entertaining, (ps she wrote the "Princess Diaries".
