Boys R Us by Lisi Harrison

"Massie Block: After disbanding the Pretty Committee, Massie takes charge like Visa, forming OCD's hawtest clique yet: Massie And Crew. Even though money can't buy love, it can buy new friends . . . or at least model-actresses who will act like your besties until you get real ones. Lights, camera, MACtion!

Alicia Rivera: Hearts her new role as alpha of the Soul-M8s, BOCD's first ever boy-girl clique. But when the boys head back to the newly renovated Briarwood Academy, will the remaining Soul-M8s become 4Squares?

Dylan Marvil: Is happy times ten to finally have a crush who's crushing back, especially since they luh-v all the same things: marshmallows, lip-kissing, and chugging Red Bull. Buuuuuuuuurrrrrrrp!

Kristen Gregory: Scored three goals on the soccer field last week-and Massie's crush . . . which earned her an ejection from her ex-BFF's heart. Can Massie forgive and forget, or is Kristen out of the game forever?

Claire Lyons: Has declared herself neutral in the battle of the cliques. But dividing her time among Massie, the Soul-M8s, and Cam has left her stretched thinner than extra-small Spanx. Can she get her friends to reunite, or will she be forced to pick a side once and for all?"

You know what, I'm not even gonna bother commenting on this book. It's gonna be the same as the other comments. I'm just happy they get back together, if not, the books were getting annoying. It's already the 11th book...I'm happy they announced the 2nd to last book "My Little Phony".

Dylan by Lisi Harrison

Dylan and her mom are off to Hawaii for the Aloha Tennis Open. While Merri-Lee is interviewing "Tennis the Menance" Svetlana Slootskyia, Dylan lets the summer sun and warm breeze help her forget the memory of being dumped by two guys. She thought she didn't need any guys anymore...until she sees him. The preppy and tennis-obsessed J.T. , but soon Dylan realizes the only way to make him like her is to master the game. Can she make Svetlana spill the secrets about tennis or will she end up like last year...dumped?

This one was interesting....and the ending...not what I thought at all.. Honestly, I dont' really like Dylan because she seems weight-loss obsessive and kind of stuck up (well the others are too), but the part that bugs me is the weight-loss obsession.

Massie by Lisi Harrison

After Massie got kicked out of the ultra excusive Westchester horse camp, her parents force her to do something she never imagined she had to do in a million, no gazillion years...get a summer job! Not really the type of person to dog-walk or brat-sit, she goes for the obvious solution, become a sales rep for the cosmetic brand Be Pretty. Now she gets to transform former LBRs into beauty queens...but it will take more than one swipe of her purple mascara wand.

Sigh, I know I said I wouldn't upload more Clique summaries for a while, but I guess not. I like the "Summer Collection" a lot better than the regular books because they are more like regular girls when their not with their friends and by themselves. I thought this book was pretty good!

P.S. I Loathe You by Lisi Harrison

Massie: When the NPC boyfast rule is taken away, boy fever sweeps BOCD. Massie forms BOCD's first cheerleading squad!...and what better way to make her old crush jealous by cheering on Dempsey during soccer games...but wait...what is LBR Layne doing with Dempsey?!

Kristen: When Massie and Layne (her secret best friend) are fighting over the same boy, Kristen has to make a decision. 1. Pretty Committee 2. Witty Committee or 3. None of the above?

Dylan: Dylan has a crush on Derrington and its no secret he likes her back!

Alicia: Prefers dancing to cheering, but when Massie assigns her to the bottom of the pyramid, should Alicia stay at her beta position or rise to alpha position and create her own squad?

Claire: Since she got back together with Cam, everything is going in order...but now the PC are swapping crushes like styling tips! Will the PC survive this boy swapping or fall apart?

I swear, this will be last one in a long time...even I'm getting sick of writing summary for these books! And besides....this book was too....girly, even for my tastes...I mean cheerleading? Really? That's one more useless thing in the Clique series.

Bratfest at Tiffany's by Lisi Harrison

Massie: The Briarwood Boys have taken over OCD and everything is swinging out of place...including the Clique's popularity! So Massie laid out a new rule for the NPC (New Pretty Committee); If anyone is caught crushing, they are thrown out from the NPC...forever. But what happens when Derrington ditches his boyish shorts for jeans? Massie is gonna have problems with her own rule!

Alicia: Totally is against the boyfast, but is battling Massie and losing her beta status in the NPC really worth it?

Dylan: Totally needs the boyfast...she straigtened her hair and swore off boys...if only she could do that with food.

Kristen: Traded her sporty chic clothes for surf chick ones....she said she swore off boys, but what is with this makeover?

Claire: Has been thinking of Cam all summer, but he moved on faster than a blink. At least she's the only one with a secure spot in the NPC...unless jealousy-flirting breaks the boyfast.

Wow...and to think the Clique was impossible to break up. It's getting interesting! But yet again, I don't like the dissing between the girls. I mean, real girls at school aren't that mean and...witchy. Well, I heard that the second to last book "The Last Phony" will be coming out! I'm so excited but sad at the same time!

Sealed With A Diss by Lisi Harrison

Massie: Now since the girls have access to the secret all-access room of OCD they are almost queens of the school. Except for one thing. They have to impress the almighty Skye Hamilton by bring dates to Skye's "famous couples" Halloween dance. But Massie also has to make her former crush, Chris Albeley to be Skye's date or she can kiss her popularity and the room goodbye. But lucky for her, she has ESP, a secret weapon to see how boys' brains work!

Kristen: Found a sensitive guy who finally loves the Notebook as much as she does! But wait....why is she going to the dance as the bride of Chucky?!

Alicia: Ditched her crush because of his insanely clean room....but it was really his sister who cleaned it! And suddenly, Josh is looking better then ever.

Dylan: What happens when ESP tells her boys are not afraid of girls that eat? Will gaining six pounds make her regret her new sense?

Claire: Since she has a boyfriend, the date business should be easy? Shouldn't it? But Cam is hiding a biiiigg secret and her gummies are tasting stale.

I'm sorry I'm posting all these Clique books, but these are what I read in a row!!! But this book was basically pointless in the series...

It's Not Easy Being Mean by Lisi Harrison

Its Not Easy Being Mean by Lisi Harrison

Massie: being the queen of O.C.D. has been easy for her now when she heard of the secret of the Alpha Room, she is determined to win and find the hidden key. Only problem is that the key is hidden in a Briarwood boy's room! But what's even worse is that LBR Layne is getting closer to finding the key than she is!
Kristen: has always been the star of the team. But what happens when her spotlight is taken away when her friends join the team...?
Alicia: is using her gossip skills to sneak into Briarwood boys' rooms to find the key.
Dylan: heard depression makes people loose weight. She hopes to hear some sad news soon because she has been popping donut holes like someone would pop Tic-Tacs.
Claire: being famous ain't all glitter and gold. Her agent took away her gummies and made her do terrible things to become more "edgy". And all the meetings with lawyers and producers are taking up all her time with the Pretty Committee and Cam! Is fame worth it?
Meh. Didn't like this book much. But it was....interesting. It was kind of random. Also, I thought this book was kind of pointless. I didn't like the romance in this book (all of the books) seems too serious of a relationship for middle schoolers.

The Clique

The Clique by Lisa Harrison

Meet The Clique of OCDS:

Massie: the leader of the clique, with her glossy brunette bob and laser whitened smile, she is the no doubt leader of The Clique and the rest of the social scene at OCDS, an exclusive private girls' school in Westchester, New York.

Dylan: The 2nd in command, who divides her time sucking up to Massie and sucking on Atkins Diet Shakes.

Alicia: Sneaky and beautiful. She floats easily under adult radar and she seems to be "sweet" but really not one bit. She would like to take Massie's place one day. Maybe.

Kristen: She's smart, hardworking, and gorgerous, except she can reduce you to tears with insults faster then you can say "my haircut isn't ugly!"

Then meet Claire: the new girl from Floridain her Keds and 2-year old Gap overalls, who is definately not clique matierial. But bad for her, Claire's family is staying in the guesthouse on Massie's huge estate while they search for a new home. Claire's clique dreams don't look like they will come true anytime soon, but with a little luck and plenty of scheming, Claim might, just might, be able to join the prejudice clique.

I honestly didn't really like this book, I mean, technically, not all rich girls are snobby, stuck-up, think "their all that". I thought the characters were a little un-believeable, by the way they acted, and honestly the way they "IM"ed was not how kids usually IM. I did not like any of the characters except Claire, because, obviouly she is the "nice" one of the book, so yeah, I didn't like this book, so deal with it...:p

Yankee Girl

Yankee Girl by Mary Ann Rodman

Alice just moved from Chicago to Mississippi, and she's the new girl that is called "Yankee girl".
The accent and southern customs are the least of her problems, the year is 1964, when the Ku Klux Klan is going strong and just to make it worse, Alice's dad is an FBI agent, who was assigned to protect black people who are registering to vote, and FBI agents are one of the main target of the KKK (Ku Klux Klan).
Later, Valerie Taylor, a black girl, joins Alice's class, the 1st 2 black students of Parnell, as a result to the new integration law. She is shunned and bullied by the popular "cheerleaders".
Alice yearns to be popular, and a part of the clique called The "Cheerleaders", who is lead by the tart tongued Saranne, but soon Alice realizes how hard it is to the this clique, and figures out that Valerie, the other outsider, is a likely easy friend, but as it seems Valerie is not looking for friends, and if Alice was to join the clique, she would be rivals and be part of the way that the "Cheerleaders" are making Valerie's life miserable.
Later a tragedy-filled event happens that turns a characters life around.
Will Alice and Valerie be friends? Will Alice be a part of the "Cheerleaders"? What is the tragedy-filled event? Read Yankee Girl to find out!

I liked this book, it's one of the best Historical Fiction book i ever read, (i haven't read much, but this is still a very good book) it is realistic, and you can relate to the characters, and how they feel when Valerie comes. This book I read for a Historical Fiction project I'm doing, and surprisingly this is a better book than it sounds.
