The A-List by Zoey Dean

"Seventeen-year-old Upper East Side blueblood Anna Percy is on her way to Beverly Hills, California, where she'll live with her estranged dad for the rest of the school year while her mother travels to Europe with a friend. On the plane, Anna drinks too much champagne and gets hit on by record producer Rick Resnick. Luckily Princeton student Ben Birnbaum is there to save her and he invites Anna to famous actor Jackson Sharpe's wedding, where Anna meets the cast of rich and famous characters who are soon to be her classmates at Beverly Hills High."

I loved this book, it reminded me a lot of the book "The One" by Ed Decter, but this was equally as good. This follows Anna, a goody two shoes with the want to escape and become "bad", it's very exciting and shows the "true" colours of L.A. without making it too cliched.

The One by Ed Decter

Chloe Gamble knows three things:

1) She's better than everyone in her hometown, the small town in Texas, where she grew up in.

2) There's only one person she trusts, and that's her twin brother, Travis.

3) She wants to be famous.

And what Chloe Gamble wants....Chloe Gamble gets.

Wow, this book was great for one of those "shallow" and "girly" book, this is not just about fashion and boys, this is about a girl working hard to rise from her small town girl status to a Hollywood starlet! It's about hardwork and lessons of Hollywood, not love and fashion like it might seem to be about! This is for anyone who is interested in making it big in La La Land.
