It's Not Easy Being Mean by Lisi Harrison

Its Not Easy Being Mean by Lisi Harrison

Massie: being the queen of O.C.D. has been easy for her now when she heard of the secret of the Alpha Room, she is determined to win and find the hidden key. Only problem is that the key is hidden in a Briarwood boy's room! But what's even worse is that LBR Layne is getting closer to finding the key than she is!
Kristen: has always been the star of the team. But what happens when her spotlight is taken away when her friends join the team...?
Alicia: is using her gossip skills to sneak into Briarwood boys' rooms to find the key.
Dylan: heard depression makes people loose weight. She hopes to hear some sad news soon because she has been popping donut holes like someone would pop Tic-Tacs.
Claire: being famous ain't all glitter and gold. Her agent took away her gummies and made her do terrible things to become more "edgy". And all the meetings with lawyers and producers are taking up all her time with the Pretty Committee and Cam! Is fame worth it?
Meh. Didn't like this book much. But it was....interesting. It was kind of random. Also, I thought this book was kind of pointless. I didn't like the romance in this book (all of the books) seems too serious of a relationship for middle schoolers.

Dial "L" For Loser by Lisi Harrison

Dial "L" For Loser by Lisi Harrison

Massie: The Pretty Committee is soooo close into being readmitted into O.C.D.! But when director Rupert Mann recruit the girls for his new movie "Dial L For Loser", its hello L.A. goodbye Westchester. But when they arrive to Hollywood, everyone is treating Claire as the star! What the...?

Alicia: Being O.C.D.'s announcer really helped her for her new job....as the Daily Grind's movie-set reporter!

Kristen: being grounded in Westchester isn't all that bad. Especially if there are "certain people's" crushes hanging out with her.

Dylan: had just started an all-Bran diet. Good thing she wasn't invited to L.A. because she's running to the bathroom all the time.

Claire: Finally gets to be famous. Along with meeting a hot teen starlet. She's living the dream! But what happens when Cam catches her kissing the Hollywood hottie?

Hmm, this book was interesting, but it was really...catty and backstabbing. More than usual even. So yeah. I liked it but it was too mean for my taste.

The Pretty Committee Strikes Back by Lisi Harrison

The Pretty Committee Strikes Back by Lisi Harrison
The girls pack up their warmest cashmere sweaters and tiniest iPods to their class trip to Lake Placid.
Uh-oh! The Briarwood boys are just cabins away!
Massie has to have the nerve and kiss Derrington right in front of the MUCK girls. (Massie's Underground Clinic for Kissing).
Kristen, has had a horrible haircut, leaving her looking more manly than any of the Briarwood soccer players. No way is she being left at Westchester and OCD to rot!
Alicia is too frustrated to have fun here, trying to find out this "mysterious" girl her crush Josh Hotz has a crush on.
Meanwhile, Claire desperately wants Cam back after the Nina incident, where he accidently saw her kissing Alicia's crush Josh Hotz. She will do anything she can to win him back, even if it means sneaking into the boy's cabin, even though its strictly against the rules.
Ha, got so bored to read another one of these books. This one was very, very stupid and too fashiony and cliched. It was all about friends, boys and kissing. GAHHHH. *faints*

Revenge of the Wannabes by Lisi Harrison

Revenge of the Wannabes by Lisi Harrison

After leaving her dance class, Alicia is full of confidence and decided to throw her own sleepover with a few of her dance classmates on Friday, the sacred day of the Clique's sleepover. But when Massie finds out about this, Alicia is instantly booted from the Beta position of the Clique and replaces her with Claire. So, Alicia tried to start her own Clique but soon realizes its harder than in appears.
Honestly, I don't really like the Clique series, but I have to admit, the books are getting sort of better. I guess. The reason I don't like these books are, well yes, girl, especially popular girls ARE mean, but they are not THAT mean, its just unbelievable.

Poseur by Rachel Maude

Janie Farrish: Middle Class. Has a scholarship to LA's exclusive Winston Prep. Talents: Vintage Clothing and sketching.

Charlotte Beverwil: French Obsesser. Loves everything French. Love this from ribbons to lace, thinks she was born a century late.

Petra Greene: Shows up at school in organic clothing. Hippie Goddess. Has had plastic surgery.

Melissa Moon: Egomaniac, daughter of Seedy Moon, rap star. Wants to start her own fashion brand called "Melissa Moon".

But what happens if the four of them are combined into a lame independent study class called the "Trend Set". Though together they have the perfect amount of talent and knowledge to launch their own fashion brand.

Only problem: They HATE each other. Period.

I liked this book actually despite its topic: Fashion Designing. This book is actually quite complicated in the relationships, but eventually it all ties together. People who like the books The Clique, The A-Lister, Gossip Girl, etc. Will like this book/series.

The Clique

The Clique by Lisa Harrison

Meet The Clique of OCDS:

Massie: the leader of the clique, with her glossy brunette bob and laser whitened smile, she is the no doubt leader of The Clique and the rest of the social scene at OCDS, an exclusive private girls' school in Westchester, New York.

Dylan: The 2nd in command, who divides her time sucking up to Massie and sucking on Atkins Diet Shakes.

Alicia: Sneaky and beautiful. She floats easily under adult radar and she seems to be "sweet" but really not one bit. She would like to take Massie's place one day. Maybe.

Kristen: She's smart, hardworking, and gorgerous, except she can reduce you to tears with insults faster then you can say "my haircut isn't ugly!"

Then meet Claire: the new girl from Floridain her Keds and 2-year old Gap overalls, who is definately not clique matierial. But bad for her, Claire's family is staying in the guesthouse on Massie's huge estate while they search for a new home. Claire's clique dreams don't look like they will come true anytime soon, but with a little luck and plenty of scheming, Claim might, just might, be able to join the prejudice clique.

I honestly didn't really like this book, I mean, technically, not all rich girls are snobby, stuck-up, think "their all that". I thought the characters were a little un-believeable, by the way they acted, and honestly the way they "IM"ed was not how kids usually IM. I did not like any of the characters except Claire, because, obviouly she is the "nice" one of the book, so yeah, I didn't like this book, so deal with it...:p
