Cecilia knows that she is the true princess, and somewhere in a tiny box is her sparkling tiara.
She knows that Desmia, a regular peasant is in her place as princess until the evil ones who killed her parents are vanquished.
Even though Cecilia knows that she is the true princess but she's tire of studying and not fulfilling her rightful place, as princess, so eventually she and her best friend Harper runs away from their village and head to the famed "Palace Of Mirrors"
When Cecilia finally meets Desmia she thinks that she will be able to be princess right away, but there's a catch; Desmia was told and believes a whole different story!
I liked this book because it was very descriptive and detailed. Also Margaret P. Haddix is an awesome author, she also wrote Among The Hidden, and Running Out Of Time.
And this is not like any fairytale you ever heard of.
