Smiles to Go by Jerry Spinelli

Will thinks he has life figured out. Saturday game night with his best friends Mi-Su and B.T.. Skatboarding on his Black Viper. Practicing chess strategies with his dad. And stargazing. But when the first proton dies, he knows his life will change forever. Nothing will be the same. But suddenly, what is this strange new feeling he is expieriencing....his love for his girl (SPACE) friend Mi-Su? And what happens when his younger sister gets in an accident?!

I loved this book! One of the best Jerry Spinnelli books I've read! It's great how this book is told in a skater-stargazer-chess champion-great older brother- POV, instead of your stereotypical main character. Also, its nice how this book seems like its actually told in his POV, not the authors or an adult. In general, this was very well-written and great.

P.S. I Loathe You by Lisi Harrison

Massie: When the NPC boyfast rule is taken away, boy fever sweeps BOCD. Massie forms BOCD's first cheerleading squad!...and what better way to make her old crush jealous by cheering on Dempsey during soccer games...but wait...what is LBR Layne doing with Dempsey?!

Kristen: When Massie and Layne (her secret best friend) are fighting over the same boy, Kristen has to make a decision. 1. Pretty Committee 2. Witty Committee or 3. None of the above?

Dylan: Dylan has a crush on Derrington and its no secret he likes her back!

Alicia: Prefers dancing to cheering, but when Massie assigns her to the bottom of the pyramid, should Alicia stay at her beta position or rise to alpha position and create her own squad?

Claire: Since she got back together with Cam, everything is going in order...but now the PC are swapping crushes like styling tips! Will the PC survive this boy swapping or fall apart?

I swear, this will be last one in a long time...even I'm getting sick of writing summary for these books! And besides....this book was too....girly, even for my tastes...I mean cheerleading? Really? That's one more useless thing in the Clique series.

Bratfest at Tiffany's by Lisi Harrison

Massie: The Briarwood Boys have taken over OCD and everything is swinging out of place...including the Clique's popularity! So Massie laid out a new rule for the NPC (New Pretty Committee); If anyone is caught crushing, they are thrown out from the NPC...forever. But what happens when Derrington ditches his boyish shorts for jeans? Massie is gonna have problems with her own rule!

Alicia: Totally is against the boyfast, but is battling Massie and losing her beta status in the NPC really worth it?

Dylan: Totally needs the boyfast...she straigtened her hair and swore off boys...if only she could do that with food.

Kristen: Traded her sporty chic clothes for surf chick ones....she said she swore off boys, but what is with this makeover?

Claire: Has been thinking of Cam all summer, but he moved on faster than a blink. At least she's the only one with a secure spot in the NPC...unless jealousy-flirting breaks the boyfast.

Wow...and to think the Clique was impossible to break up. It's getting interesting! But yet again, I don't like the dissing between the girls. I mean, real girls at school aren't that mean and...witchy. Well, I heard that the second to last book "The Last Phony" will be coming out! I'm so excited but sad at the same time!

Sealed With A Diss by Lisi Harrison

Massie: Now since the girls have access to the secret all-access room of OCD they are almost queens of the school. Except for one thing. They have to impress the almighty Skye Hamilton by bring dates to Skye's "famous couples" Halloween dance. But Massie also has to make her former crush, Chris Albeley to be Skye's date or she can kiss her popularity and the room goodbye. But lucky for her, she has ESP, a secret weapon to see how boys' brains work!

Kristen: Found a sensitive guy who finally loves the Notebook as much as she does! But wait....why is she going to the dance as the bride of Chucky?!

Alicia: Ditched her crush because of his insanely clean room....but it was really his sister who cleaned it! And suddenly, Josh is looking better then ever.

Dylan: What happens when ESP tells her boys are not afraid of girls that eat? Will gaining six pounds make her regret her new sense?

Claire: Since she has a boyfriend, the date business should be easy? Shouldn't it? But Cam is hiding a biiiigg secret and her gummies are tasting stale.

I'm sorry I'm posting all these Clique books, but these are what I read in a row!!! But this book was basically pointless in the series...

It's Not Easy Being Mean by Lisi Harrison

Its Not Easy Being Mean by Lisi Harrison

Massie: being the queen of O.C.D. has been easy for her now when she heard of the secret of the Alpha Room, she is determined to win and find the hidden key. Only problem is that the key is hidden in a Briarwood boy's room! But what's even worse is that LBR Layne is getting closer to finding the key than she is!
Kristen: has always been the star of the team. But what happens when her spotlight is taken away when her friends join the team...?
Alicia: is using her gossip skills to sneak into Briarwood boys' rooms to find the key.
Dylan: heard depression makes people loose weight. She hopes to hear some sad news soon because she has been popping donut holes like someone would pop Tic-Tacs.
Claire: being famous ain't all glitter and gold. Her agent took away her gummies and made her do terrible things to become more "edgy". And all the meetings with lawyers and producers are taking up all her time with the Pretty Committee and Cam! Is fame worth it?
Meh. Didn't like this book much. But it was....interesting. It was kind of random. Also, I thought this book was kind of pointless. I didn't like the romance in this book (all of the books) seems too serious of a relationship for middle schoolers.

Dial "L" For Loser by Lisi Harrison

Dial "L" For Loser by Lisi Harrison

Massie: The Pretty Committee is soooo close into being readmitted into O.C.D.! But when director Rupert Mann recruit the girls for his new movie "Dial L For Loser", its hello L.A. goodbye Westchester. But when they arrive to Hollywood, everyone is treating Claire as the star! What the...?

Alicia: Being O.C.D.'s announcer really helped her for her new job....as the Daily Grind's movie-set reporter!

Kristen: being grounded in Westchester isn't all that bad. Especially if there are "certain people's" crushes hanging out with her.

Dylan: had just started an all-Bran diet. Good thing she wasn't invited to L.A. because she's running to the bathroom all the time.

Claire: Finally gets to be famous. Along with meeting a hot teen starlet. She's living the dream! But what happens when Cam catches her kissing the Hollywood hottie?

Hmm, this book was interesting, but it was really...catty and backstabbing. More than usual even. So yeah. I liked it but it was too mean for my taste.

Sk8er Boy by Mari Mancusi

Sk8er Boy by Mari Mancusi

Fifteen year old Dawn Miller cannot believe that perfect grades, shopping with her girlfriends and joining every extracurricular activity recommended by her parents is all there is to life. She is bored and tired and figures Harvard, her parents' goal for her, is still a few years away. How will she survive going through this torture? And skipping Yearbook every now and then is hard enough.

But when she makes a new friend Starr, who introduces her to world of skaters and punks. This is an exciting and not to mention rebellious act on Dawn's part, but breaking away from her parents is farthest from her mind when she meets intelligent and nice skater Sean McNally. She knows her boring and overprotective parents would denounce this heart throb as a punk from the wrong side of town, but then again they would shoo away any boy wanting to date her before she graduates from Harvard. How will she make her parents realize Sean is not all he seems, and not to judge a boy by his cover?

I really liked this book actually. It is really good despite its sort of cheesy plot. It was a bit girly because Dawn is a total 'Barbie' but later she becomes more carefree and less girly.

Dreadlocks by Neal Shusterman

Fifteen year old Park Baer is bored of his perfect life. But his life will be forever changed when he finds the gorgeous Tara sleeping in his bed. Exotic-looking with long glimmering spirals of golden hair that seems alive and her eyes behind her sunglasses all the time (along wtih living with a hosue of statues). Parker keeps an eye on her, fascinated. Tara seems to pick students at the high school up and wraps them around her finger. But her "friends" start developing weird symptoms, like eating dirt and drinking gallons, literally gallons of milk! Only Parker knows what Tara is up to, and soon he seems to facing those cravings himself...can he stop her destructive game or will he be doomed under her spell forever.

I was slightly disappointed with this book, I mean it WAS good, but I didn't like it as much as Neal Shusterman's other books. I was also disappointed with the ending too. Though I DID like how they described Tara, and how interesting and strange her characteristics would be like in the future if ________ existed. (XD I'm not telling you WHAT she is).

Unwind by Neal Shusterman

Unwind By Neal Shusterman

Connor, Risa and Lev are running for their lives.

The 2nd Civil War was fought over reproductive rights. What was the resolution? Life for teens are safe until the age of thirteen. When between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, one's parents can have their child "unwound", that is when all the teen's organs are transplanted and given to other people, so life doesn't technically have to end. It like they are living in many different people. Connor is a delinquent. Risa is an orphan and is not worth being kept alive. Lev, a tithe, his fate of being unwound determined since birth as part of his parent's strict religion. Now together, they make a cross-country journey across the states, hoping they have the chance to escape and survive---And eighteen seems very far away.

I loved this book. Best book ever. This book was very well-written and detailed. Also, the story was told in an interesting way, in many people's point-of-view, instead of just one. I loved the ending XD. Everyone dies...Haha, just kidding. Maybe. You have to read to find out!

The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong

The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong

If you met Chloe a few weeks ago, you would probably thinks he was just a regular girl---someone normal. But her life has changed forever and is never going to be the same.

She's a living science expieriment. Not only can she see ghosts, she can also talk and bring them back to life. She was genetically altered by an organization called the Edison Group.

Now running for her life with three other supernaturalists, a charming sorcerer, a cynical werewolf and a disgruntled witch, she has to fund someone who can help...unless the Edison Group finds them first.

Ha, this is one of the first summaries in a long time I wrote in a long time! I'm proud of myself. This book was sooo good and I simply loved it! I loved reading about supernaturalists and stuff like that. All the characters are likeable (except for Edison Group of course!) and act like they are real! PS: This is the 2nd book in the series. The first one is "The Summoning"

Zoey has managed to settle in at the House of Night and come to terms with the vast powers the Goddess Nyx has given her. Just as she finally feels she belongs, the unthinkable happens: human teenagers are being killed, and all evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey’s old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves.

Luv this book, though parts were quite...disturbing. But still all out good. This is one of my only favorite vamp. series. I don't really like vamps. in general, so yeah.

Yer. I honestly think these books are amazing. I really love them. Lawl, it took Max long enough for her to realize she has feelings for Fang. This book is exciting and kept me excited til the very end. Can't wait for the next book "Fang" to come out!

The Sword Thief by Peter Lerangis

The Sword Thief by Peter Lerangi{http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sword_Thief}

The book starts with Dan and Amy in a Venice airport. There, Ian and Natalie Kabra steal their plane tickets and board a plane where their au pair, Nellie, already is seated. Then, Amy and Dan are then forced to team up with Alistair Oh and fly with him on his private plane to Japan. Together they learn about Toyotami Hideyoshi, the greatest warrior in the history of Japan, and the son of the first Tomas.
While Amy, Dan, and Alistair are researching, the Holts take them captive, forcing them to lead the Holts to the possible site of a clue—a Tokyo subway station. When a train approaches, the Holts run. Amy's foot gets stuck in the tracks, and Dan struggles to pull her out. Before the train hits them, Alistair pulls them out of the way into a hidden room. Amy is saved but suffers a sprained ankle.
In the room, they find a
haiku, which tells them to use geometry to find Hideyoshi's treasure. Later, they find some geometric shapes, but are chased by the Yakuza, who throw shurikens at them. They are rescued by Nellie, who has struck a deal with, and is accompanied by, the Kabras. When the Kabras give Amy and Dan a small coin of importance to the search, the two Cahills agree to join forces with the Kabras. They decode another message in the shapes, and some English letters. The message tells them to go to Korea.

This was a great book. Yep. This is the third book in the 39 Clues series. This is my favorite out of all the ones I read (1,2,3), I don't know why, but this one I was more interested in. Lol, maybe because there's a little romance between Ian and Amy.

The Pretty Committee Strikes Back by Lisi Harrison

The Pretty Committee Strikes Back by Lisi Harrison
The girls pack up their warmest cashmere sweaters and tiniest iPods to their class trip to Lake Placid.
Uh-oh! The Briarwood boys are just cabins away!
Massie has to have the nerve and kiss Derrington right in front of the MUCK girls. (Massie's Underground Clinic for Kissing).
Kristen, has had a horrible haircut, leaving her looking more manly than any of the Briarwood soccer players. No way is she being left at Westchester and OCD to rot!
Alicia is too frustrated to have fun here, trying to find out this "mysterious" girl her crush Josh Hotz has a crush on.
Meanwhile, Claire desperately wants Cam back after the Nina incident, where he accidently saw her kissing Alicia's crush Josh Hotz. She will do anything she can to win him back, even if it means sneaking into the boy's cabin, even though its strictly against the rules.
Ha, got so bored to read another one of these books. This one was very, very stupid and too fashiony and cliched. It was all about friends, boys and kissing. GAHHHH. *faints*
