Beastly

Beastly by Alex Flinn

Genre: fantasy, romance, modern fairy tale

Kyle's got it all, looks, money and is the king of his school, but one day when he insults Kendra, an ugly, fat, goth girl, he found out he made a terrible mistake, by asking her to a school dance, but going to the dance with a pretty, snotty, stuck up girl named Sloane, but as he soon finds out that Kendra is really a gorgeous witch with wicked powers(ok fine not that awesome powers)
and she put a curse on him, so now, he's a beast, and he's only got 2 years to find true love, or he will be a beast for the rest of his life. I'm not writing much because i don't wanna give the book away!

I really liked this book, its a great book for people who like modern fairy tales, this book is the famous "Beauty and the Beast" in the "beast" point of view.
This book was really good and made me want to read on, I could barely put it down! It was honestly really good for me, i loved it!
ok i know this post sucked, because i didn't have much time to work on it.

Summary For Back Cover:
I AM A BEAST.
A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature that walks upright--a creature with fangs and claws and hairs springing out from every pore. I am a monster.
You think Im talking fairy talkes? No way. The place is New York City. The time is right now. It's no deformity, no disease. And I'll stay like this forever--ruined--unless i can break the spell.
Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. why did she turn me a beast that hides by day and prowls at night? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how i used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how i became perfectly....beastly.
~that is a great summary, but i didn't write it! it's on the back cover, it obviously tells about the book better than i can~

I loved this book, too. I thought the best part was knowing the basic story ahead of time. It was fun trying to "second guess" the author. I always found myself predicting something completely different than what actually happened! If you like modern fairy tales, you should try Rapunzel's Revenge by Shannon Hale. It's a graphic novel about what happens to Rapunzel after she rescues herself from the tower. It's really funny!
