The Viper's Nest by Peter Lerangis

The Hunt for the 39 clues that lead to an unimaginable power has taken a heavy toll on Amy and her younger brother Dan. They have just seen a woman die. They are now wanted by the Indonesian police. They are trapped on an island with a man they thought they could trust and knows too much about the death of their parents while a tropical storm is rolling in. Just when things couldn't seem to get any worse, it obviously does. The Cahills have one more rattling secret for Amy and Dan to discover, and that is the terrible truth about their family branch.

The thrilling 7th book of the 39 clues series. I honestly do like the 39 clues series because it's thrilling and exciting, even though it is written for kids, not teens. I especially liked this book because since the 6th book, In Too Deep, left with a cliffhanger, this book picked up right where it left off, answering all my, well most of, my questions. I highly do recommend this series. Peter Lerangis is a very good author.

Grace has always had a strange relationship with wolves, ever since she has been attacked by a pack of wolves when she was a child. They scare, but fascinate her at the same time, but there is one that particularly draws her interest; the yellow eye wolf.

Sam is the boy with a dark secret. In the summer, he is just like any other boy with a mess of black hair and a love of reading. But in the winter, he turns into a black wolf with golden eyes that lives in the forest near Grace's Minnesotan house. He is constantly struggling with his sense to stay with his pack and his fight for being human.

After an incident when Sam almost dies, he drags himself to Grace's house, begging for help. She helps him and they soon fall in love, finding the real love they both desired.

But time is going to be cut short. Each year Sam's time as human becomes shorter and shorter. Sam is afraid of losing his sense of humanity and himself. This year is Sam's last year as a human, and unless Grace can find some way to stop his change, she will lose him...forever.

I loved this book beyond compare. This is one of the best supernatural romances I've ever read, and trust me, I've read a ton of supernatural romances. I really liked the cast of characters. Grace was easy to connect to and Sam was really sweet. All the characters in general seemed real (well, as real as werewolves can be) and easy to relate too. I also like how this book takes place in Minnesota, it adds a homey feel to it. It's not often that a very popular book is placed in Minnesota.

Oh dear...

I have not been able to upload posts recently because I've been awfully busy with school...the last post was last year August, back before school started...so right now, I'm gonna post a list of books here that I'm gonna blog about and keep an eye out for them. I hope to finish blogging all these before I start another book... These books are from wayy back from August 2010.

Yayy...It doesn't seem like a lot when I type it out, now does it?

My goal for 2011 is to actually blog and NOT PROCRASTINATE! C:

Also...I have to look for my missing page. I remember reading some books, but they are not written down, like VIP Lounge by Ed Decter and stuff like that.
